It’s reveal week! Be sure to check out the incredible spaces of the One Room Challenge featured participants and all the guests. I can’t wait to check them all out! As for my space, it’s pretty close to done (minus a few things that didn’t arrive on time and a few more last-minute changes I want to make).
Without further ado, here’s our new sunnier sunroom!
We wanted a space for entertaining. For game nights, cocktail making and long evenings spent chatting away with friends. We wanted it to be welcoming and casual and bright. The design took a turn from the plan (ha! understatement) but in the end it worked out great.
Another goal was to keep the project under $4,000. If you’re just joining us, we gutted the entire room to the studs, removed the drop ceiling, added skylights and created the built-ins entirely, so that budget didn’t get to go to anything fun like furniture or decor. I’ll do a full budget breakdown later this week, but we went a bit over. Roughly $4,800. BUT! We reused and repurposed furniture and decor we already had. The only pieces I bought new for this room are the two trays, black basket, faux sheepskin and a couple of plants. We still need a new coffee table (and now we need a new couch since we stole the one from our living room!) but we’re happy with where it is now for under $100 in styling.
Let’s look at a couple before and afters before I bombard you with more photos. And thanks to Tanner Johnson Photography for the professional photos!
Okay, now for a bunch more photos!
